1st week in August walks

A Sunny Sunday to you all. Here follows availability for our free walks next week,especially The Clyde Bridges on Friday 2nd.


Aug 1,Thu- Mackintosh/Greek Thomson- 9 places. We go into 2 Tearooms and Glasgow Art Rooms as part of. 10-12


Fri 2nd- Clyde Bridges- Science Centre to Glasgow Green, all along the north bank. 15 places. 10-12.


Tues 6th-Trades House- guided tour of one of Glasgow's finest buildings on Glassford St.3 places. 2-4pm


Wed 7th- Glasgow Canal- becoming a favourite, walk takes in Applecross and Firhill basins, as well as Speirs Wharf and city skyline views. 7 places, 1-3pm.


Thu 8th- Early/ Medieval Glasgow- from St Enoch & Mungo, up High St to Lordship, Bishop's Castle, Cathedral and Necropolis, our history is here. 11 places, 10-12.30.


Usual meet places;


Mackintosh- outside Clutha bar, Clydeside

Early Glw,Tob Lords, Grahamston, Murals, Secret Glw - outside the Bank of Scotland on Argyle St, bottom of Buchanan St

Trades House- outside M&S, Argyle/ Glassford Street.

Old Govan- outside Govan X bus station/ subway

Glasgow Canal/ Claypits Nature Reserve. SeeWoo/Glw Angling Centre carpark, G22, safe fence ,free parking

Clyde Bridges- Bells Bridge, next to SEC, opposite Science Centre.
