Hi all and everyone! As many of you know , I wrote 4 extensive books on every Scottish mainland harbourage around our country, for the RNLI, during the Covid lockdown. I've now been given the chance to sell these onto anyone who wishes them (UK postage included) for £20 each. Each book is over 450 pages and full of colour pictures, maps etc.

Each one deals with a different stretch of Scotland's coastline, so if anyone wanted just one copy of one section (maybe your own , or family's favourite, then you could try 1 before considering the full set eg.

If interested, then please let me know of a/ which one/ones you wish, 2/ what your postal address is (or can bring along to any of our Walking Glasgow walks you may be attending this year, and we can sort out payment dues after that. Thanks for reading this. Kevin.

From the tiny Seacliff harbour in East Lothian, to Peterhead’s huge commercial fishing port, I take you around all of Scotland’s mainland harbourages, a staggering total of 340. From south-eastern Burnmouth, all the way (anti-clockwise) round to south-western Annan, readers can choose either to dip in and out of various villages and towns, as they wish or, alternatively, can read about differing locales around their origins, customs, fishing methods and superstitions. History, geography, archaeology, sociology, folklore and customs-all have played their roles in Scotland’s coastal development. So too did Pict, Roman, Vikings, English warring and Highland Clearances all leave their influences on these harbours. And, in more recent times, the oil industry and more sustainable, renewable energy sources- as the nation continues to diversify its commercial base. A pleasure to research and, hopefully, a pleasure to read, you will learn interesting facts on almost every page of this complete record of Scotland’s mainland harbours. 100% of all this books proceeds are being donated to the RNLI, so thank you for your generous support.
