The 2025 Glasgow Community Champion Awards are on their way.
Ahead of the official launch, Glasgow Times Editor Stacey Mullen is keen to encourage Glaswegians to think about nominating their neighbours, colleagues, friends or family members.
GLASGOW is full of unsung heroes, who go the extra mile for their communities, Stacey added.
We’ll be revealing our full partner line-up and more details about the event soon but the entry form is now open (details below). My options are;
Community or Senior Champion category
If you could kindly spare me a couple of minutes to complete my nomination,I'd be so grateful.
Blurb:
As many know, this is my 3rd year of doing my 13 walks, delighted with your responses and RNLI donations alike. Now reaching £9k,with 14k social media followers.
I also attend many harbour events around our coastline, as well as doing my 'Grahamston ' talk to varied west coast groups ie.mens mental health, Probus U3a,Women's Guild,Alcohol Assist,Ukranians, Glasgow Life libraries etc.
With the Tobacco Lords/Merchant City walk attracting schools from all round Scotland, I'm glad to add some context. An Orkney school coming back this September ie.
Unlike some commercial tours,I am both free and year round and further appreciate the kind words from those that like my pictures each week, if they are unable to attend personally be it through age,illness etc. I like a giggle myself.
A shout out to my friend,Steve, who pulls out Glasgow's positive media stories for our WhatsApp group. Sorry I've rambled on,but that's what I do, so thanks for reading this and, hopefully, forwarding a nomination for me.
Kindest regards
Kevin
