New walks

Ahoy ye landlubbers. Had enough of this rain? Yes, then lets get walking again with April's "better" weather.So, continuing after Easter Monday, here's an update on, both spaces available , and new FREE walks as we crawl towards sunnier days ahead, lol.


Easter Monday 1st-nothing on.


Tues 2nd-Grahamston, Glasgow's Forgotten Village. As seen on BBC TV's Inside Central Station, let me lead you round the history lying at the very centre of Glasgow's dynamic growth.Please meet at St Enochs Square, outside the Bank of Scotland/Buch St bottom. 10.30-12 (now full)


Wed 3rd-Tobacco Lords/Merchant City. 10-12. Meet at St Enochs Square/Bank of Scotland. 62 streets, national poet, football, library ,graverobbing, engineering and Tennents. All involved- slavery museum in the offing? Hear the latest admissions and news of Glasgow's involvement. (3 spaces left)


Thurs 4th-Early/Medieval Glasgow. St Mungo/Enoch. Earliest buildings,streets, University, High St, Provands Lordship, Cathedral & Necropolis. 10.00.12.00. Meet at St Enoch's. (6 spaces)


Mon 8th-Marvellous Murals 1-3pm.Have you seen them all yet? 24 of them in 2024, in central Glw. Circular tour.Please meet @Bank of Scot, St Enochs Sq, bottom of Buchanan St. Bring cameras.

Thurs 11th-Clyde Bridges 10.30-12.30Thurs 11th-Clyde Bridges 10.30-12.30. Walk along Clydes north bank from Crowne Plaza Hotel (opposite Science Centre) out to Glasgow Green, and visit Peoples Palace, before it closes for renovation soon. Meet at Bells Bridge, north bank (SEC side)


Sat 13th -Buchanan St. Buildings. 10-11.30am. 50 great places/stories on Glasgow's 'Style Mile'. Meet at steps outside Royal Concert Hall (at top).


Sun 14th-Glasgow Canal/Claypits-10.30-12.30. See Glasgow from a new angle. Glasgows only inner city nature reserve.at the top of the town. Pls meet in SeeWoo /Glw Angling Centre carpark at Saracen St, Possilpark. Safe and secure free parking here.


Mon 15th -Mackintosh/Greek Thomson walk.10-12am. 15 sites of two phenomenal, world-renowned architects of the day. Pls meet outside the Clutha Vaults, Clydeside, finishing in Argyle St.


Please just request a place/places, or advise if you can't then attend. We tend to wait on for a few minutes, if trains, buses running late, eg. .

As ever, please advise if wishing to join any of the walks and though definitely FREE, any small contribution to the RNLI, would be gratefully passed on (only if you enjoyed yourselves, lol)
